About Marla

For years, I struggled with scarring and hyperpigmentation, trying every mainstream product you could think of - only to be left with dry, scaly skin and little to no results. It was frustrating and disheartening, and for a long time I thought I’d just have to live with it. But instead of giving up, I started to research natural ingredients and began creating small pots of skincare for my own personal use. I finally saw results.

As time went on, people began noticing my skin’s transformation. Compliments turned into questions, and I found myself constantly sharing my routine. That’s when I realised I wasn’t alone - so many, especially within the Black community, had faced the same struggle of finding skincare that work. Many of the products on the market simply weren’t made with us in mind.

That realisation pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, refine my formulas, and create something I was proud to share with the world. And just like that, Skin by Marla was born.

After years of disappointment with artificial, chemical-filled skincare, I made it my mission to create something different. Skin by Marla offers a range of all-natural body butters, scrubs, hair oils, and more. Each product from is handmade by me, to order, ensuring the highest level of care, freshness, and quality in every jar and bottle. Unlike mass-produced skincare that sits on shelves for months, each item is crafted specifically for you. This means no unnecessary preservatives, no shortcuts - just pure, freshly made skincare designed to nourish your skin at its best.

I won’t make empty promises or claim to "fix" your skin overnight, but what I can guarantee is this: You will see a difference. Your skin will be smoother, more radiant, and undeniably touchable.

Skin by Marla is more than just skincare - it’s a celebration of your skin. What began as my personal journey has become a brand dedicated to helping others feel confident and radiant.

Thank you for taking this journey with me.

Always remember to love the skin you are in, even when you’re told not to.

- Love, Marla 🤍
